| Abstract: Aim: - to evaluate the effect of beverages on(μTBS) of repaired CAD/CAM resin composite restorations using different surface preparation techniques. Materials and methods: - Cubic prism specimens (N= 200 ) (10 mm × 10 mm × 2 mm )were obtained from of breCAM High-impact polymer composite (HIPC) , The blocks were polished and stored in distilled water for 24 hours, and randomly assigned to different surface treatments into: Abrasion using a medium coarse diamond bur, sandblasting with alumina particles and (Er:YAG) laser. After the surface treatment, all specimens were repaired with Z250XT resin composite. Each group was then assigned randomly into five subgroups according to the beverage used: Distilled water 37o C, Tea 37oC, Tea 60oC, Cola 37oC and Cola 4oC (n=10). The specimens were stored in solutions for 28 days and then subjected to (μTBS) test. Universal testing machine was used for (μTBS) test. The data were analyzed with three-way ANOVA and post hoc tests. Results: - Air abrasion group showed the highest bond strength values compared to either bur or laser treated groups, Tea and cola at 37oC presented significantly lower (μTBS) than water. The (Tea 60°C) Laser group exhibited a statistically significant decrease in (μTBS) value than (Tea37°C). The specimens immersed in (cola4°C) showed statistically significant increase in (μTBS) values than (cola37°C). Conclusions: - Surface treatment using air abrasion improves the (µTBS) of CAD/CAM resin composite to nanohybrid resin composite. Long term consumption of cola and tea beverages deteriorate (µTBS) of repaired CAD/CAM resin composite. | ||||
