Abstract | ||||
This study aimed to examine the impact of toxic leadership on organizational performance. Toxic leadership was conceptualized through five key dimensions: self-promotion, abusive supervision, unpredictability,narcissism, and authoritarian leadership. In parallel, organizational performance was evaluated across six critical dimensions: financial perspective, customer perspective, internal processes perspective, learning and growth perspective, strategic performance, and operational performance. The researcher adopted the descriptive research method, widely recognized for its applicability in the social sciences. Data relevant to the study variables were gathered through a structured survey questionnaire, and subsequently analyzed using appropriate statistical techniques to fulfill the research objectives and validate the proposed hypotheses. The empirical application of this study was conducted on a sample of pharmaceutical companies operating in Egypt. The study found that toxic leadership, across its dimensions—self-promotion, abusive supervision, unpredictability, narcissism, and authoritarian leadership—has a positive and statistically significant impact on organizational performance, as measured by its key dimensions: financial perspective, customer perspective, internal processes perspective, learning and growth perspective, strategic performance, and operational performance. | ||||
