Abstract | ||||
Background:The competence of head nurses to identify, comprehend, as well as control their emotions is essential to preserving a caring and productive healthcare setting.Positive patient outcomes, improved organizational commitment from staff nurses, and improved professional relationships can all result from this capability.Aim of the study:explore how head nurses' emotional intelligence influences the organizational commitment of their staff nurses.Materials and Methods:design: The study was carried out using a descriptive-correlational design.Setting: Itay Elbaroud General Hospital served as the study's setting.Subjects: All head nurses and their assistants were the study's subjects (N=32) and all staff nurses (N=300) who had at least a year of experience.Tools:Two tools were utilized for data collection.Tool 1:Emotional Intelligence Sheet.Tool 2:Organizational Commitment Sheet.In addition to, A data sheet of demographic features.Results:Head nurses and staff nurses, respectively, evaluated organizational commitment and emotional intelligence as having high mean percent ratings, according to the data.Additionally, the findings demonstrated that the overall organizational commitment of staff nurses and the overall emotional intelligence of head nurses were positively correlated.Conclusion: In healthcare environments, raising the emotional intelligence of head nurses may be a calculated move to boost staff retention and overall organizational effectiveness..Recommendations:Implementing training programs focused on enhancing emotional intelligence skills among head nurses. | ||||
