Abstract | ||||
Fuscuropoda vegetans ( De Geer ) was found in compost in the farm of the Faculty of Agriculture , Cairo University at Giza . The duration of its developmental stages , feeding habits and reproduction were determined at 22 and 30°C . Temperature and kind of prey greatly affected fecundity and rate of reproduction. Free-living nematodes and high temperature ( 30°C ) were more suitable than larvae of house or vinegar flies , and low temperature for increasing reproductive potential. | ||||
