Abstract | ||||
The effect of selection with profenfos when applied on the 4 th instar larvae of Spodoptera littoralis for four generations on the susceptibility of the fourth instar larvae of the subsequent generation to certain insesticides was investigated Results indicated that thiodicarb exhibited the highest level of tolerance (3.93 folds) ,followed by alphacypermethrin (2.99 folds).fenvalerate (2.86 folds), deftamethrin (2.35 folds).0n the other hand, the profenofs selected strain was more susceptible to Aim-X500, Katapron, methomyl and cyperrnethrin compared with the laboratory strain . This showed that there is a negative correlation between resistance to profenofos and these compounds . The correlation was more pronounced with the insect growth inhibitor /insecticide combinations (Katapron and Ami-X500) than with the insecticides methomyl and cymerpethrin. | ||||
