Abstract | ||||
Under the credible increase in the global population, climate change represents a serious challenge for the feeding and watering all people. It is thought that climate change will accelerate the harmful impacts of soil salinization and increase the spreading of such problem to include new zones in the near future. Thus, soil salinity management should be considered as a crucial strategy for the global food security. This global food security mainly does not depend only on the global crop production, but also on the all attributes controlling this production. Salinity of soil can produce the crop productivity, but certain management including the integrated fertilization may support such crops under such conditions. Integration means application of chemical fertilizers (not so much) along with organic, bio-and nano-fertilizers. Integrated fertilizers can mitigate salinity stress by enhancing the biochemical, physiological, and molecular attributes of cultivated plants under such stress. The right combination of different fertilizers along with each crop is still open question that needs an answer. | ||||
