| Abstract | ||||
| هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تقييم الارتباط بين الصرع واضطرابات النوم بين الأطفال ، وتحديدًا التحقيق في الدور المحتمل للاكتئاب كوسيط. تكونت عينة الدراسة من(33) أطفال مرضى الصرع, و(33)أطفال أصحاء. وقد طبق مقياس استمارة دراسة الحالة لمريض الصرع, واستمارة السجل اليومي للنوبات, و مقياس اضطرابات النوم لبيتسبرغ, و مقياس بيك للاكتئاب. توصلت النتائج إلى أن يمكن أن تؤثر اضطرابات النوم بشكل عميق على صحة الأطفال مرضى الصرع وقد ارتبطت بمجموعة واسعة من المشاكل الصحية، كما أشارت الأبحاث السابقة (Goyal et al., 2023; Gutter et al., 2019) . قد يؤدي معالجة الأعراض الاكتئابية إلى تحسين جودة النوم، وبالتالي تعزيز الصحة العامة ورفاهية الأطفال مرضى الصرع. This study aimed to evaluate the association between epilepsy and sleep disturbances among children, specifically investigating the potential role of depression as a mediator. The study sample consisted of (33) children with epilepsy and (33) healthy children. The Epilepsy Case Study Form, the Seizure Record Form, the Pittsburgh Sleep Disorders Scale, and the Beck Depression Inventory were administered. The results indicated that sleep disturbances can profoundly affect the health of children with epilepsy and have been associated with a wide range of health problems, as previous research has indicated (Goyal et al., 2023; Gutter et al., 2019). Treating depressive symptoms may improve sleep quality, thus promoting the overall health and well-being of children with epilepsy. | ||||
