Abstract | ||||
In light of global trends toward developing education systems and improving the efficiency of the educational environment, this research focuses on studying the use of underutilized internal spaces in schools, transforming them into supportive and effective environments that contribute to the educational process, especially in the primary education stage. The importance of this use stems from its being a smart solution for enhancing the quality of education without the need for large urban investments. This is achieved by improving the functional use of available spaces within educational facilities. The research relies on an inductive approach to analyze theoretical concepts related to the internal environment of educational buildings. It also relies on a descriptive and analytical approach to study models of school buildings that have successfully utilized neglected spaces within their buildings in an innovative and effective manner. The research concludes with the most important findings, recommendations, and proposals aimed at enhancing the utilization of these spaces, contributing to the creation of integrated educational environments that meet the psychological and cognitive needs of students and support the goals of the educational process in a comprehensive and sustainable manner. | ||||
