Abstract | ||||
In this work, a water soluble Benzothiazole based colorimetric probe EBOAc for the detection of carboxylesterase was designed and synthesized. EBOAc showed good biocompatibility and low cytotoxicity could be used to monitor the activity of esterase enzyme in biological samples. EBOAc has one esterase recognition sites, and the ultra-sensitive quantification of esterase enzyme has been successfully achieved. The low detection limit of EBOAc was calculated as 0.03 U/mL, and LOQ was calculated as 0.1 U/ ml, this study can promote the development of esterase colorimetric probes and help the identification of related diseases. The determination of the probe's detection limit (0.03 U/mL) and limit of quantification (LOQ) (0.1 U/mL) are important indicators of the probe's sensitivity. However, it's crucial to provide information on how these values were determined, as well as the practical significance of these limits in the context of disease diagnosis and research. Incorporating these elements would not only strengthen the assessment of the probe's applicability and specificity but also provide a more comprehensive understanding of its potential in practical applications, ultimately contributing to advancements in disease identification and research. | ||||
