Abstract
The leopard moth, Zeuzera pyrina L. (Lepidoptera : Cossidae ) is a serious polyphagous pest in fruit orchards in Egypt. Attraction of male moths to a mixture of E- 2, Z-13 - octadecadien - 1 - ol acetate and E -3, Z - 13- octadecadien - 1 - ol acetate compared with pupal skin counts were carried out in two pear orchards at Giza ( mid - Egypt) and Behera ( north - Egypt) governorates throughout the flight season of 1991. Male catches and pupal skin counts indicated that moths strated to emerge from May until October, and almost three peaks were noticed in a harmonized trend through two techniques used in June, July - August and September.
