| Background: Paediatric liver transplantation has improved outcomes over the last years due to use of immunosuppressive agents to attain balance between minimizing the risk of Allo- graft rejection and infection aquired due to immunity supression. Aimed of the study was to evaluate the effect of educational program regarding immunosuppressive drugs on nures� performance and out comes for children undergoing liver transplantation. Subject and method: a convenience sampling of 50 nurses and children under going liver transplantation at outpatient pediatric liver clinic and post liver transplant care units of National liver Institute of Monofia University. Tools: Three tools were used to collect data: structured Interview Schedule, Observational Checklists and childeren out comes Results: the most of nurses had poor knowledge and three quarter of them had unsatisfactory level of practice before educational intervention, while immediate and one month after educational program the total scores of nurses 'knowledge and practice were improved.Conclusion: Educational program for nurses was effective in improving knowledge, and practice regarding immunosuppressive drugs and improved out comes for children as normal blood pressure, blood glucose level and child less exposure to infection post -liver Transplantation .Recommendations: Providing continues in service educational program regarding Immunosuppressive drugs should be implemented to nurses and mothers of children undergoing liver transplantation | ||||
