| Abstract | ||||
| Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune disorder characterized by autoantibodies production and multiple organs damage. SLE is a highly heterogeneous autoimmune disease that affects almost all organs and tissues. It is typically identified in this reproductive window. It is typified by the overproduction of autoantibodies, the accumulation of large immune complexes, the overregulation of immunological and inflammatory responses, and the destruction of many tissues. With a 9:1 female predominance, SLE is primarily seen in women between the ages of 15 and 44. Zinc finger proteins (ZNF) are proteins that bind to DNA and regulate the transcription of many genes. Single-nucleotide polymorphisms in zinc finger protein-coding genes have been linked to autoimmune disease susceptibility, according to genetic studies. Like ZNF76 in SLE. ZNF are DNA-binding proteins that regulate many genes' transcription. According to genetic research, autoimmune disease susceptibility is linked to single-nucleotide polymorphisms ZNF-coding genes. Previous studies have provided evidence that serum ZNF-76 expression showed a positive association with increased susceptibility to SLE in the study population | ||||
