Abstract | ||||
: It’s impossible for any language to remain insulated from contact with other languages; every language in the world is susceptible to development in this way. The most significant aspect in which a language is influenced by other language is related to vocabulary; specifically in this area, the exchange between languages becomes active, with borrowings occurring frequently. The trade, political, and cultural relationships between countries play an important role in this regard. The Swahili language has borrowed some Persian words in this way and adapted them to its sounds. This research presents a collection of borrowed words from Persian that are used in the Swahili language in verious fields, attempting to trace the origins of these words in Persian | ||||
