Abstract | ||||
Coptic art is one of the oldest forms of plastic art that used image and symbol to embody deep spiritual and cultural concepts, for example, the use of a cross or a fish in Coptic art is not limited to decoration, but carries theological connotations, and the use of symbols in modern plastic art may express identity, resistance, or self-reflection. Similarly, the Coptic artist, like the visual artist, does not only convey reality, but also reshapes it according to his own vision, making symbolism a central tool in building a visual discourse that interacts with the recipient on multiple aesthetic, intellectual, and spiritual levels. Coptic art can be considered part of the history of fine art, as it contributed to the development of a symbolic visual language that continues to inspire contemporary artists to express religious, cultural, and humanitarian issues. | ||||
