| Abstract | ||||
| This study aimed to determine the level of application of safe pesticide use practices by farmers surveyed for tomato crops, and to study the correlation between the independent variables studied for the farmers surveyed and their level of application of safe pesticide use practices. The study was conducted on a simple random sample of 116 respondents in Qena Governorate. Data was collected using a questionnaire and personal interviews. To analyze and present the study data and results, tabular presentations were used, using frequencies, percentages, arithmetic mean, and Spearman's rank correlation coefficient. The statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS) was used. The most important results showed that the majority of the respondents (83.6%) had an average level of application of safe pesticide use practices in tomato crops, while 16.4% had a low level of application. The results also showed a significant positive correlation between age, attendance at guidance seminars, and benefiting from guidance seminars, and the level of application of the farmers surveyed. | ||||
