This paper explores the key differences and similarities in writing abstracts in English and Arabic. Both languages have unique structural and stylistic conventions that influence how abstracts are crafted. Through a detailed comparative analysis, this study examines these linguistic and cultural nuances, providing insights and practical guidelines for authors to effectively write abstracts in both languages. English abstracts are typically concise, structured, and focused on brevity, adhering to a formulaic approach that segments the summary into specific sections. In contrast, Arabic abstracts often adopt a more narrative and integrated style, reflecting cultural preferences for detail and comprehensive exposition. This paper provides a detailed examination of these differences, highlighting the importance of understanding linguistic and cultural contexts to craft effective abstracts in both languages.
