Abstract | ||||
This research primarily aimed to study the role of strategic planning as a tool for achieving sustainable development in North Sinai Governorate. This was done by examining the role of strategic planning in achieving sustainable development in North Sinai, evaluating the performance of local community development associations in fulfilling their roles in sustainable development, identifying the factors associated with and influencing the overall degree of strategic planning's role in achieving sustainable development, and identifying the challenges faced by community development associations in North Sinai. The research also proposed future visions for activating the role of local community development associations in North Sinai. A sample of 153 beneficiaries of the services of the Kenouz Al-Bardawil Comprehensive Development Association, representing Bir El-Abd Center (10% of the beneficiaries), was selected, totaling 153 respondents. For the Arish Center, a sample of 139 beneficiaries from the services of the Al-Fayrouz Integrated Services Association, representing Arish Center (10% of the beneficiaries), was selected, totaling 139 respondents. The sample was chosen randomly using the ideal case method. The results showed that eight variables contributed to explaining the variance in the overall role of strategic planning in achieving sustainable development for the respondents. These variables explained about 45.5% of the variance in the overall role of strategic planning in achieving sustainable development for the respondents. | ||||
