Abstract | ||||
Background: Massive weight loss (MWL) patients frequently appear with significant challenges in breast aesthetics due to extensive skin redundancy, loss of dermal elasticity, and diminished inframammary support. Objective: This work evaluated the impact of the inframammary fold (IMF) repositioning on mastopexy outcomes in MWL patients. Patients and Methods: This randomized clinical open-label study was executed on 30 women, aged 30-65 years, with moderate/severe breast ptosis who underwent mastopexy. Patients were assigned into two groups: Group I received IMF repositioning following previous mastopexy, while Group II received primary mastopexy with concurrent IMF repositioning. Postoperative follow-up was conducted at 6 and 8 months. Results: nipple-to-IMF distance stretch at 6 months and 8 months and NAC elevation were significantly lower in group II than group I (P | ||||
