Abstract | ||
Writing is one of Humanity's greatest inventions. It represents a quantum leap in human development, and ancient Egyptian writing is a unique example of the convergence of form and meaning, where aesthetic, semantic and symbolic dimensions overlap in the structure of its texts. Ancient Egyptian writing also demonstrates an early and deep understanding of the principles of Typography, confirming that writing is not only a method of communication, but also an integrated cultural structure that contributes to the building and continuation of civilization. Hence, the researcher wanted to shed light on the importance of adhering to our ancient roots and preserving our Egyptian identity in the era of globalization and the disappearance of borders and barriers between countries, by addressing ancient Egyptian writing and its stages, as well as ancient Egyptian writing styles and directions. In this research, the researcher also wanted to highlight some of the works of a contemporary typography artist, Richard Moore, nicknamed Seen UA, and how to benefit from combining the art of typography and ancient Egyptian writing in the field of fashion in general and women's one-piece clothing in particular. The use of writing and Typography has recently become part of personal expression language and contemporary fashion, reflecting cultural and social trends | ||
