Abstract | ||
The study aimed to explore the role of the Arab Labour Organization in promoting the right to occupational safety and health. This was achieved by highlighting the legal framework of the organization, its objectives, and its bodies. The analysis aims to understand the extent to which the nature and process of promoting the right to occupational safety and health align with the organization's nature of work and its standing, as well as the mechanisms that can be used in this field. The researcher used the descriptive method to describe and interpret the phenomenon by identifying its characteristics and dimensions, in order to reach a comprehensive scientific description of promoting the right to occupational safety and health. The study reached several key findings, the most prominent of which was that the Arab Labour Organization played an active role in promoting official control procedures to confront violations of the right to work in general, and the right to occupational safety and health in particular. The study also recommended the necessity of spreading the culture of occupational safety and health rules among all individuals, whether they are workers, employers, or government officials. Popular oversight exercised by the people over their governments is considered one of the most important types of oversight and the most effective guarantee for governments' commitment to respecting rights, thereby enhancing human rights in general. | ||
