Abstract | ||
Institutional excellence in libraries is a fundamental pillar for ensuring the quality of information services and meeting the needs of beneficiaries in an era characterized by rapid technological evolution and increasing demand for digital resources. Institutional excellence refers to the adoption of innovative methodologies, strategies, and practices to achieve efficiency and effectiveness in library management processes. There are several strategies and mechanisms that libraries can adopt to ensure their sustainability and enhance their ability to meet the needs of beneficiaries. The results and conclusions showed that there are 60 relevant studies that address the use of continuous improvement strategies and models in diverse organizations in order to achieve competitive advantage. The study shows that the highest percentage of research focused on universities and higher education institutions, followed by public service institutions. The study concluded with a research map that can be used to develop future research, and the results also indicate the existence of gaps that can be exploited as opportunities for renewing studies in the future. This is one of the first studies to propose a systematic literary review aimed at clarifying the mechanisms of continuous improvement and its strategies and their impact on institutional excellence in both academic and practical contexts. | ||
