Abstract | ||
The study aimed to determine the cognitive level, attitudes, and behavior of the respondents regarding recreation and leisure time, and to determine the time management and leisure time of the respondents in terms of: planning - implementation - evaluation, and to determine the relationship between the values of time and leisure time (concept - attitude - behavior) and the amount of leisure time of the respondents, and to determine the relationship between time management and leisure time and the amount of leisure time of the sample members, and to determine the obstacles to leisure time from the point of view of the respondents. This study was conducted in one of the villages of Dakahlia Governorate, namely the village of Dyast, affiliated with Talkha Center, where a cross-sectional sample of 136 university students was selected from the village. Data for this study was collected by using a questionnaire form and personal interviews with the respondents. Several statistical methods were used, including frequencies, percentages, and weighted averages. Multiple linear regression analysis, the F test, and the coefficient of determination were also used. The most important results were that the amount of free time affects the respondent's concept of free time, as well as the respondent's behavior during free time, and also affects the respondent's time management (planning, implementation, and evaluation). The most significant obstacles to utilizing free time were personal, work-related, and family-related, respectively. | ||
