Abstract | ||
This study aims to identify certain psychological، social، and health disorders resulting from occupational exposure in petrochemical plants، and to present a cognitive-behavioral program for plant workers to help them adapt and reduce the negative impacts of these hazards. The study adopted a quasi-experimental approach، in which a training program was developed to address the psychological، social، and health changes caused by working in an environment containing industrial pollutants.The study sample consisted of workers in a petrochemical plant، and measurement tools were applied، including psychological، social، and health scales، with a comparison made between the pre- and post-assessments of the experimental sample. The results revealed statistically significant differences between the two groups in favor of the group that participated in the program، indicating the effectiveness of the cognitive-behavioral program in reducing disorders resulting from occupational exposure. The study recommends that industrial institutions adopt preventive programs and train workers on adaptation strategies، in addition to using effective protective equipment to reduce occupational risks. | ||
