Abstract | ||
This study explores the role of community activities in empowering women in North Sinai, emphasizing the importance of enhancing women's status within their local communities through various social programs and initiatives. It discusses the theoretical foundations of empowerment, based on principles such as participation, self-reliance, and social justice, and highlights the different domains where empowerment can be achieved, including political, economic, social, and health sectors. The research also examines the historical and religious contexts that have shaped the concept of empowerment in Islamic culture, stressing the need for societal support to develop women's capabilities through workshops, awareness campaigns, and the effective use of technology. Challenges hindering women's empowerment in Sinai are addressed, including traditional customs, limited awareness, and legal restrictions, which restrict their active participation in societal and developmental activities. The study proposes practical mechanisms for empowerment, such as raising community awareness, supporting small and medium enterprises, and improving infrastructure, healthcare, and education services to enhance women's independence and economic participation. The goal is to present a comprehensive framework of programs and initiatives that can contribute to the sustainable empowerment of Sinai women. The research underscores the importance of collaboration between government and civil society organizations and advocates for cultural shifts to promote women's roles in society, ultimately fostering inclusive development, equality, and social justice. | ||
