Abstract | ||
Introduction: Products that are supplemental to staple foods are known as additives to food. The yellow pigment tartrazine is a synthetic food additive. The primary components responsible for the antioxidant properties of rosemary extract (Rosmarinus officinalis L.) include phenolic acids like rosmarinic acid and abietane diterpenes. The study's objective: To determine the degree of adrenal gland dysfunction caused by the food ingredient Azo Dye Tartrazine and cardiovascular system and to evaluate protective effect of Rosemary on albino rats. Subjects and Methods: The weight of the albino rats used in the experiment ranged from 150 to 200 grams. Forty rats were distributed evenly across four groups.: the control group, the group that received tartrazine, the group that received no treatment, and the group that received treatment,rosmeray group&tartrzine&rosmery group,rats treated for 30 days . Results: Compared to the control group, the group given tartrazine had significantly higher levels of body weight, serum cortisol, lactat-dehydrogenase, cardiac troponin 1, and testosterone (p<0.05). However, when rosemary was added to the tartrazine, Significantly, these levels dropped (p<0.05) also there are significant changes in the heart &adrenal gland. Conclusion: : Because of its antioxidant qualities, rosemary may reduce the toxic effect of tartrazine, and it ought to be given to people if they need to be shielded from the hazardous effects of tartrazine.
