| Abstract | ||
| The aim of the research: To use play activities to improve pragmatic language skills in autistic children. The experimental group consisted of (10) autistic children, selected from those who met the criteria. Their ages ranged from (6-9) years, and their IQs ranged from (55-70) on the Raven Colored Progressive Matrices (modified and standardized by Imad Ahmed, 2016). Homogeneity was taken into account for the experimental group members in terms of (age, gender, intelligence, educational stage, cultural level, as well as the level of autism and pragmatic language. The research tools included: (Raven's Colored Progressive Matrices Test (modified and standardized by Imad Ahmed, 2016) - Pragmatic Language Disorder Diagnosis Scale (prepared by the researcher) - Pictorial Speech Efficiency Scale (prepared by Ihab El-Beblawi, 2013) - Childhood Autism Assessment Scale (CARS) prepared by Scobler et al. (1980), Arabized and standardized by Hoda Amin (2004) - Family Cultural and Social Level Form prepared by Abdullah Adel Ragheb Shurab (2013). The research results showed the effectiveness of using play activities in improving pragmatic language skills in autistic children, and the effectiveness continued until the follow-up measurement two months after the end of the program. | ||
