Abstract | ||
With the expansion and development of tourism activity in Aswan Governorate, there is growing interest in understanding its impact on the local community. Nubia is one of the most important areas with tourism potential. This study explores and leverages these economic impacts, re-engaging tourism development in the Nubian community in Aswan Governorate. A survey was conducted among a group of Nubians in Aswan Governorate regarding the impact of tourism development on them and the community. The most important of these impacts is the introduction of more interactions and new ideas with the ancient monuments of development and the most popular tourism activity, and the development and exploitation of Nubian villages and hamlets, which are not fully utilized. The study also recommended that the impact of tourism be carefully studied and that it be beneficial to the Nubian community and Aswan. The results indicate that tourism development provides more job opportunities for the Nubians in the first group. This demonstrates the diversity of job opportunities available to Nubians, such as work as theoretical tour guides in tourism companies, youth hostels, and hotel rooms. This is in addition to the indirect job opportunities provided by tourism activity in Aswan Governorate and the Nubian community, such as work in agricultural activities, which also provide industrial and technological activities, and other activities that have contributed to the development of tourism. | ||
