Abstract | ||
Background: Proactive personality is an important personal trait that influences nurses’ adaptability, innovation, and creative performance within dynamic healthcare environments. The study aimed to assess proactive personality disposition among staff nurses and its relation to their creativity. Research Design: A descriptive correlational design was utilized. Setting: The study was conducted in all inpatient units at medical and surgical buildings at Benha University Hospital. Subjects: Consisted of simple random sample 359 staff nurse was selected from a total population of 3443 staff nurses was recruited. Tools of data collection: Two tools were used: Proactive Personality Disposition Questionnaire and Nurses Creativity Questionnaire. Results: Showed that about half (47.6% and 46.0%) of studied staff nurses demonstrated a moderate level of proactive personality disposition as well as a moderate level of creativity respectively. Conclusion: The study concluded that there was highly statistically significant positive correlation between total proactive personality disposition and total creativity among the studied staff nurses Recommendation: The study recommended that healthcare administrators should cultivate a supportive work environment, provide recognition for proactive behaviors, and offer training programs that promote both initiative-taking and creative problem-solving. Further research is recommended to explore how organizational climate and leadership styles influence the interplay between proactivity and creativity among nurses. | ||
