Abstract | ||
ABSTRACT The field of design has witnessed significant diversity in trends and approaches. However, nature remains one of the most important sources of inspiration for the design process, owing to its functional and aesthetic integration within organic structures. This necessitates a deeper contemplation of nature, studying and analyzing the organic structural systems of natural elements -both external and internal- to derive applicable design principles. This research focuses on the blue jay as a case study, examining and analyzing its external and internal (anatomical) structure to generate innovative design concepts for glass products or enhance the characteristics of existing ones. The study employs organic inspiration methodologies, enabling designers to integrate aesthetic and functional values in alignment with environmental and human-centric requirements. This approach broadens creative horizons and advances free-forming techniques in contemporary glass product design, drawing inspiration from nature to achieve harmony between beauty and functionality while effectively addressing user needs. Consequently, it paves the way for design perspectives more deeply connected to ecological principles and sustainability. | ||
