The research aimed mainly to identify the extension knowledge needs for farmers in the field of rural environmental protection, as well as to identify the factors associated with and determining them, and to determine the problems they face in the field of environmental protection, and their suggestions for solving these proplems from their point of view. The research was conducted in Al-Gharbia Governorate on a sample of 386 respondents who were distributed to the three villages according to their representation in the study area. The data was collected by questionnaire and personal interview during the period from May to August 2024 AD. A number of statistical methods were used, namely frequencies, percentages, arithmetic averages, standard deviations, simple correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression. The study reached a number of results, the most important of which were the following: That 45.07% of the respondents had an average level of extension knowledge needs in the field of rural environmental protection. There is significant relationship between the total degree of the extension knowledge needs of the farmers in the field of environmental protection and five variables are: agricultural tenure, knowledge of environmental risks, degree of exposure to environmental hazards, realize availability of environmental services and facilities in the village, the trend towards environmental conservation.
