| Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) is a common hyperglycemic emergency and acute life threatening complication of diabetes mellitus. DKA incidence increased at an annual rate of 6.3% most notably in persons aged <45 years with a significant increase in hospitalization rate between 2008 and 2018. | ||
