Abstract | ||
Four axenic cultures of cyanobacteria, Synechococcus mundulus, Oscillatoria lemnitica and Arthrospira platensis, Nostoc carneum were investigated for the production of siderophores. These cyanobacterial isolates were grown in low iron concentration for inducing siderophore production into the nutrient medium using the Chrome Azoral Sulphonate(CAS) agar universal test plates. The maximum siderophores production was recorded for Synechococcus nidulans (73.8 %). | ||
