Abstract | ||
The current study examined the effects of foliar application of humic acid (2 and 3 cm3 L-1) and zinc oxide nanoparticles (25, 50, and 100 mg L-1) on the productivity, and chemical composition of Japanese cabbage under saline water irrigation during two consecutive seasons in 2022 and 2023 at the Research and Production Station, National Research Centre, El-Nubaria location, Beheara Governorate, Delta Egypt. The findings show that applying ZnONPs spray, particularly the second concentration (50 mg L-1), enhanced the growth and yield characteristics of Japanese cabbage plants, particularly when combined with a greater humic acid concentration (3 cm3 L-1). Also, the leaf content of nutrients improved significantly as a result of spraying ZnONPs and humic acid, as the highest values were obtained for most nutrients as a result of spraying the second concentration of both humic acid and ZnONPs. Since they lessened the impact of saline water and increased cabbage productivity, it can be concluded that both humic acid and ZnONPs can be used as a safe tool to improve the productivity, and chemical composition of cabbage under saline irrigation settings. | ||
