Abstract | ||
The present study aims to investigate the effect of a training program using Insanity exercises on certain physical abilities—namely muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiorespiratory endurance, flexibility, agility, balance, and neuromuscular coordination—as well as the skill performance level on the floor exercise apparatus. The program was implemented over a duration of 8 weeks, and the research was applied to a purposive sample of (22) fourth-year students specializing in artistic gymnastics at the Faculty of Sport Sciences for Girls – Helwan University during the academic year (2024/2025). Out of these, (10) students were selected for the pilot study. The researcher employed the experimental method using a single-group (pre–post) design. The most important findings of the study revealed the existence of statistically significant differences between the pre- and post-measurements in the physical abilities under investigation (muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiorespiratory endurance, flexibility, agility, balance, and neuromuscular coordination) in favor of the post-measurement. Furthermore, significant differences were also found in the skill performance level on the floor exercise apparatus in favor of the post-measurement. The improvement percentages in all physical tests ranged between 35.933% and 76.837%, while the improvement percentage in skill performance level reached 48.000%, all in favor of the post-measurement. | ||
