Abstract | ||
Abstract: The study aimed to identify the role of Facebook in educating El-Arish University students about climate changes in North Sinai Governorate . The researcher used the sample survey method , It is an appropriate approach to the nature of the study, which falls under descriptive studies, where the study sample consisted of 266 individuals out of 300 male and female students ,aged between 18 :22 years, from the colleges of education, arts, commerce, and science .She prepaired a questionnaire as a tool to collect data related to the subject of the study. It included five basic axes: the first axis dealt with the extent of students’ exposure to Facebook, the second axis: knowledge of sources of information and the extent of awareness of the issue, the third axis: use and evaluation of Facebook, the fourth axis: interaction with content, and the fifth axis: change in behavior and participation in activities. The study reached many results, the most important of which is the willingness of youth to use Facebook and follow it permanently by 50 % , and that youth are aware of the issue of climate changes, but they don't rely on Facebook as the only source of environmental information, because Facebook doesn't pay much attention to climate changes .
