| Abstract | ||
| This study was carried out in Prof. Dr. Abd El- fatah Helmy Belal Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory, Faculty of Environ. Agric. Sci., Arish University during the period from 2019 to 2023. The present studies were conducted to examine the additional cheap and easily available natural additives on Yucca elephantipes growth during tissue culture phases. The obtained results demonstrated that MS medium with BA addition at 2.0 mgl-1 significantly affected number of adventitious shoots/ explant, adventitious shoot length (cm) and leaves number / explant (4.17, 3.87 and 17.33 respectively). For shoot multiplication addition of BA at 2.0 combined with Aloe gel at (20ml-1) significantly affected all plant height (cm), number of adventitious shoots/explant, adventitious shoot length (cm), number of leaves/shoot and number of leaves/explant (7.16, 7.33, 5.20, 5.00 and 24.67, respectively. For rooting stage, addition of 1.50 mg l-1 NAA increased number of root and root length with mean values of 100, 18.33 and 7.67 cm, respectively. Finally, plantlets were acclimatized successfully with high survivability percentage (100%) in soil mixture of sand and peat moss (1:1. v/v). | ||
