Abstract | ||
This study was mainly planned to study the floristic and ecological features of Solanum incanum L. in Mareotis coast, Egypt to be able to identify abundance and distribution pattern of Solanum incanum and the co-existing species as well as, its soil controlling using two methods (TWINSPAN method and CCA bi-plot method) showed dominancy of Solanum incanum in the recognized 7 vegetation groups recording the highest IV in 6 of 7 the groups. Total 70 plant species recorded belonging to and 25 families of 6 different life forms where therophytes was the predominant life form (65.71% of recorded species) while only two species are cultivated and naturalized. CCA-ordination showed that clay, sand, silt, pH, saturation capacity, organic carbon and calcium carbonates are the most effective soil variables on the 7 vegetation groups. | ||
