| Abstract | ||
| The distal axonapathy (dying—back degeneration) is one of the most hazardous side effects of exposure to sane organophosphorus (OP esters) insecticides. This effect is characterized pathologically by distal axonal degeneration, secondary irreversible demyelination of both the central and peripheral nervous axons and by a time delay period of 8-14 days before the onset of clinical pathologic signs and symptormlogies after exposure to the neurotoxic agent. | ||
