Setting: The chest (ICU) at Assiut University Hospital served as the study's site. Sample: A purposive sample of approximately 70 critically ill patients were selected with 35 patients in each study and control group. Tools: tool I: nosocomial pneumonia assessment tool, followed by the respiratory assessment sheet is the second tool and third tool: patient's outcomes tool . Results: It was found that the most of studied patients 57.1% and 60% were male in both groups respectively. It was found that relation between age and hospital stay levels and there were statistically significant differences between them with p. value = 0.058* and relation between gender and progress levels and there were statistically significant differences between them with p. value = 0.015*. Conclusion-implementing nosocomial pneumonia protocol success in improving of patients’ outcomes among ICU patients. Recommendations: implementing nosocomial pneumonia protocol as standardize evidence-based protocol at ICUs. | ||
