| Abstract | ||
| Aminoglycoside antibiotics have been widely used for several decades due to their potent antimicrobial activity against various Gram-negative bacteria. However, the emergence of antibiotic resistance and associated adverse effects have necessitated the development of reliable methods for the determination of aminoglycoside antibiotics in different matrices. This review article provides an overview of the current state of aminoglycoside antibiotic determination, highlighting the analytical techniques employed, including chromatographic methods and immunoassays. The article discusses the advantages and limitations of each method, emphasizing their applicability in different sample types such as biological fluids, food, and other samples. In addition to the present situation, this review highlights the potential future developments in aminoglycoside antibiotic determination. These include the emerging trends in miniaturized and portable analytical devices, advancements in sample preparation techniques, and the integration of multiple detection methods for improved sensitivity and selectivity. Overall, this review article provides a comprehensive analysis of the current methods used for aminoglycoside antibiotic determination, while also discussing the future directions in this field. The information presented herein will be valuable for researchers, regulatory authorities, and stakeholders involved in the development and implementation of effective strategies for determination and analysis of aminoglycosides. | ||
