| Abstract | ||
| AI is a robust and powerful tool that can reshape the construction sector. It assists engineering and architectural firms in organizing and streamlining their processes, boosting output. AI can tremendously improve the decision-making process and work productivity for construction projects. The study aimed to explore the role of emerging artificial intelligence technologies in predicting and analyzing the risks of construction projects in Egypt. The study population consisted of project managers, contractors, consultants, and engineers in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The study sample included (267) individuals from the population. The study relied on the descriptive approach as a study methodology, and employed the questionnaire as a study instrument. The study concluded that the risks that most affect the Egyptian construction sector are cost overruns, schedule delays, and quality problems, they also revealed that the role of AI technologies in predicting these risks remains moderate, limiting their ability to support decision-making and reduce losses. Conversely, the study reported that the main challenges hindering fully leveraging these technologies include the knowledge gap, poor standardized criteria, cultural and organizational resistance. The study recommended enhancing data management by establishing clear standards for data collection and processing, and investing in training and capacity building for employees to raise awareness of the importance of AI. Thus, this study confirms that the application of AI in construction project risk management represents a promising opportunity, but it requires practical addressing of current challenges to maximize its benefits in the Egyptian context”. | ||
