| Abstract | ||
| Currently rural spatial structures are affected by pervasive developments, which provoke a diversity and re-organization of settlement and population. Since the rising of Industrial Revolution in the nineteenth century. as well as in the last quarter of the last century; especially in the cities of the Third World, cities have represented the focus of the phenomenon of urban polarization. With the increase in urban concentration and the cities that reached the stage of population and urban saturation, the rural sectors adjacent to cities have become a crucible for the interaction of developments occurring within the city and became an open stage for the phenomenon of reverse polarization from the cities. The mechanisms of change in the rural urban areas surrounding cities are due to the interactive relationships between the city itself and its surrounding and connected urban areas, and their exchange of interests and benefits that underlie them all. This resultant change in the rural settlement areas that are surrounded the cities is caused by several variables which including the phase of industrial settlement in the late 1950s. it resulted in the ascending and increasing the rural-to-urban migration, the phase of urban openness and polarization, and also the phase of urban condensation and inflation. | ||
