| Abstract: This study aims to document and follow the course of a psychosocial treatment program based on the technical eclectic approach through the case study methodology. It highlights the stages of intervention, the accompanying psychological and social changes, and the role of the clinical social worker in implementing the therapeutic program within the clinical setting. The case describes the psychosocial rehabilitation process of a 22-year-old male diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder without psychotic symptoms (F32.2). The intervention consisted of 13 therapeutic sessions grounded in the technical eclecticism model, which integrates techniques from several therapeutic approaches. Supportive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), task-centered practice, and spiritual therapy were employed, in addition to group therapy sessions and other therapeutic activities. Multiple tools were utilized in the assessment process, including semi-structured clinical interviews, the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II), clinical observation records, a self-rating scale (0–10), in addition to the structured therapeutic program. The results revealed a decrease in the patient’s BDI-II score from 32 (severe depression) to 14 (mild depression) by the end of the intervention, accompanied by a marked improvement in mood, motivation, and social interaction. These findings underscore the effectiveness of the technical eclectic approach in supporting recovery and highlight the essential role of the clinical social worker within an integrated therapeutic care system.
