| Abstract | ||
| جاء اختياري للإمام البغوي وأقواله في الرجال؛ لأنه علم من أعلام الجرح والتعديل وذلك للكشف عن ملامح منهجه في الجرح والتعديل من خلال أقواله في الرواة ومقارنتها بما عليه الجمهور. فذكرت بداية ترجمة موجزة للتعريف به وبتراثه العلمي ووفاته، كما عرفت -باختصار- بكتابه معجم الصحابة ومنهجه فيه. وكان منهجي في هذا البحث منهجا إحصائيا تحليليا يقوم على جمع الرجال الذين تكلم فيهم الإمام البغوي جرحا وتعديلا من خلال كتابه ولقد بلغ عددهم خمسة وثلاثين راويا ذكرت رأي البغوي في هؤلاء الرواة جرحا وتعديلا وذكرت أقوال غيره من علماء الجرح والتعديل في هؤلاء الرواة لأخلص من ذلك لبيان درجة الراوي ومدى موافقة البغوي أو مخالفته لأقوال أئمة الجرح والتعديل. وأما الخاتمة فقد ضمنتها خلاصة البحث وأهم نتائج هذه الدراسة. وذيلت البحث ببعض الفهارس العلمية. I chose to study Imam al-Baghawi and his statements about narrators because he is one of the prominent figures in the field of al-jarḥ wa al-taʿdīl (criticism and praise of hadith narrators). The aim is to uncover features of his methodology in this science through his evaluations of narrators and to compare these evaluations with the views of the majority of scholars. I began with a brief biography introducing him, his scholarly legacy, and the date of his death. I also briefly introduced his book Muʿjam al-Ṣaḥābah and outlined his methodology in it. The approach I adopted in this study is both statistical and analytical, focusing on collecting the names of narrators whom Imam al-Baghawi either criticized or praised in his book. The total number of such narrators was thirty-five. I recorded al-Baghawi’s judgments—whether critical or favorable—about these narrators and compared his views with those of other scholars of al-jarḥ wa al-taʿdīl to determine the standing of each narrator and to assess the extent of al-Baghawi’s agreement or disagreement with the leading authorities in the field. In the conclusion, I presented a summary of the study and its key findings. The research ends with several scholarly indexes. | ||
