| Abstract | ||
| This study was conducted during two consecutive seasons (2023 and 2024) on 20-year-old 'Saidy' date palm trees were grown on a private farm located in Kharga Oasis, New Valley, Egypt. The experiment aimed to investigate the effects of gibberellic acid (GA3), forchlorfenuron (CPPU), and moringa oil on date fruit production. All treatments were applied three times: the first application was carried out before pollination (at inflorescence emergence), the second application was made two weeks after pollination, and the third eight weeks after pollination. The treatments were arranged in a completely randomized block design (CRBD) with five replicates per treatment. The results indicate that all treatments caused a significant decrease in the fruit set and the retention fruit percentages compared to the control (spraying with water), while these treatments led to a significant increase in the weight of the bunch and improved the physical and chemical properties of the fruits. The results also showed that spraying with Moringa oil caused a significant improvement in the chemical properties compared to the control and other treatments. Therefore, to increase the productivity of "Saidy" date palms, it is recommended to spray bunches with GA3 twice at 25 ppm (before and two weeks after pollination), followed by a third application eight weeks after pollination using GA₃ combined with CPPU or moringa oil. | ||
