| Abstract | ||
| ABSTRACT The current study aims to identify some psychological, health, disorders resulting from exposure to certain incorrect and unhealthy eating behaviors, as well as the parenting styles followed by mothers of children with (ADHD).a It also aims to provide a cognitive behavioral program for mothers of these children to help them develop positive eating and parenting skills. Nutritional behavior and positive parenting for their children with (ADHD), and its role in reducing the symptoms of ADHD and improving the health status of these children. This research relied on the descriptive approach and the quasi-experimental approach, A cognitive guidance program was prepared to address the psychological, social and health changes resulting from mothers adopting nutritional behaviors that contain artificial colors, high sugars and preservatives. The research sample consisted of children and mothers from some primary schools in the Sahel and Shubra Education Directorates in Cairo Governorate, Measurement tools were applied, including psychological and social scales, with a comparison made between the pre- and post-measurements of the experimental sample. The results showed statistically significant differences between the two groups in favor of the group to which the program was applied, indicating the effectiveness of the cognitive behavioral program in reducing the symptoms of ADHD resulting from eating behaviors Positive parenting for mothers of children with ADHD. The study recommends that educational institutions adopt preventative nutritional programs for this group of children, and that mothers be trained in positive parenting methods for their children in general, and for children with ADHD in particular. | ||
