A descriptive approach was used, along with the design of several data collection tools. The researchers identified a list of green school standards and designed a questionnaire for contact persons. This questionnaire helped understand the environmental and social aspects. A questionnaire was also designed to gather information and opinions on the mechanism for calculating the costs and benefits of converting basic education schools into green schools. This questionnaire helped understand the financial aspects. The results demonstrated the importance of the role of human resources management in green schools, which stems from managing basic education schools according to green school standards.
