| Abstract The study aimed to identify the role of the Crisis and Disaster Management Unit in mitigating environmental risks. It also explored the reality of crisis and disaster management, as well as the crises, disasters, and environmental risks that the university may be exposed to. The study was applied to Ain Shams University. To achieve the study objectives, a survey was designed to collect primary data from the study sample through personal interviews. The study sample included faculty members, general managers of crisis and disaster units, and members of crisis and disaster unit committees from all faculties at Ain Shams University. The descriptive-analytical approach was used to test the validity of the hypotheses and answer the study questions. The study results revealed a statistically significant effect of the dimensions of the Crisis and Disaster Unit's role in mitigating potential crises and disasters at Ain Shams University. The results also demonstrated a statistically significant effect of the dimensions of the Crisis and Disaster Unit's role in mitigating potential environmental risks at Ain Shams University. One of the study's most important recommendations was to develop a long-term plan to address crises, disasters, and environmental risks that the university may face, as well as to utilize information systems technology in crisis prediction. and potential university environmental disasters.
