| Abstract | ||
| In light of the escalating challenges posed by climate change to developing countries, there is an urgent need to adopt fair financing policies that support the transition to a green economy and enhance adaptive capacity. The National Platform for Green Projects (NWFE) represents a pioneering model in Egypt, integrating environmental considerations into sustainable development plans through strategic projects in the fields of energy, water, and sustainable agriculture. This study examines the role of fair climate finance in achieving the objectives of the NWFE platform by analyzing Egypt’s experience with carbon reduction projects, highlighting financing mechanisms, as well as associated challenges and opportunities. The research adopts a descriptive-analytical methodology, complemented by statistical tools to test the research hypotheses using multiple linear regression and T-tests to evaluate the significance of the relationship between fair climate finance and carbon reduction indicators. The results reveal a statistically significant positive relationship between fair climate finance and the efficiency of implementing carbon reduction projects. Moreover, the financial and technical support provided through the NWFE platform substantially enhances the competitiveness of the Egyptian economy, stimulates green investment, and creates new employment opportunities.
