| Abstract | ||
| Moringa oleifera is a tree species that is becoming more useful in treating several kinds of diseases. It is the most inexpensive and credible alternative for providing good nutrition, as well as curing and preventing many diseases. This research aimed to identify the effectiveness of its leaf ethanol extract as an antioxidant, anti-cholesterol, and anticancer. Because of its secondary metabolites, M. oleifera can be used to create a variety of NPs with a range of biological activity, including LaO₃NPs, CuONPs, FeO₃NPs, AgONPs, and ZnONPs. M. oleifera leaves were analysed for phytochemicals, and HPLC was used to analyse compounds in M. oleifera extract quantitatively. The antioxidant activity of M. oleifera ethanol extract and its biosynthesised nanoparticles was investigated using the KMnO4 and DCPIP tests. Promising DCPIP antioxidant activities were demonstrated by CuONPs and AgONPs. Additionally, the anti-cholesterol activity of several biosynthesised nanoparticles and M. oleifera ethanol extract (MOEE) demonstrated that copper oxide nanoparticles had the highest anti-cholesterol activity. Based on the above results, an MTT assay was used to measure the cytotoxicity of cells. It showed the effect of CuONPs of M. oleifera and Doxo against Vero and Kasumi1 cell lines at different concentrations. CuONPs proved the promising anticancer properties. We concluded that M. oleifera is a fantastic plant with several advantages for humanity. M. oleifera stands out as a vital plant offering numerous health benefits, from nutritional support to medicinal properties. Its incorporation into daily life can significantly enhance well-being and promote a healthier lifestyle. | ||
